Police have renewed their appeal for information on a Sydney father who has been missing for almost two years.

Several people know what happened to Paul Sekeres but are too afraid or unwilling to come forward with information, police believe.

Mr Sekeres, a married father-of-two, was last seen at his Kingsgrove home in southern Sydney on January 30, 2012.

Then aged 38, Mr Sekeres worked in construction and is believed to have visited the Narellan area shortly after he left his home.

Police are treating his disappearance as suspicious.

"We believe there are a number of people out there who can provide us with more information - the type of information that will help us determine exactly what has happened to Mr Sekeres," Detective Inspector Paul Simpkins said.

All information received would be treated with the strictest confidence, he added.
