A woman is fighting for her life after she was found unconscious at a caravan park in Cowra, in the NSW central west.

Police were called to the Cowra Holiday Park on Olympic Highway about 7.30am on Thursday after a resident found the 37-year-old woman outside her caravan with serious head injuries and partly naked.

Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she was flown to Orange Base Hospital in a critical condition.
She has since been taken to Westmead Hospital in Sydney.

The woman's 48-year-old partner is voluntarily assisting police with their investigations.
Police say early indications suggest the woman was not sexually assaulted.
Police established a crime scene.
