Bad polls equal rumours of a Kevin Rudd comeback. It’s a fairly basic formula, nothing scientific or startling — and always with a predictable result.
Speculation, malicious gossip, number crunching and backroom manoeuvring all add to the epic that has become Rudd and his challenges.
However in Rudd’s case the nature of the challenges lend themselves to a “trailer” format as in a movie trailer.
You know the the style — let’s just show the best and grisly bits, let’s not worry about the detail.
