Strip searches? Try a hand in boiling oil

According to the NSW Corrective Services Commissioner the strip searching of arrested federal MP Craig Thomson was standard procedure. ''Everyone who is arrested received the same treatment,'' he said. And NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell was keen to point out that if Mr T was dealt with any differently, it might be suggested that as a member of Parliament he was receiving special treatment. What with subsidised travel, living-away allowances, generous pension arrangements and tip-offs about coal licences, you certainly wouldn't want to add any more special treatment.
