8. Stella Young: Through the honesty and humour in her writing, Stella Young has made a significant contribution to the public discourse on disability this year. As well as being the editor of ABC’s Ramp Up, Young is also a successful comedian, activist and a regular contributor to websites including The Punch and The Drum. This year, Young has worked tirelessly to put the National Disability Insurance Scheme back on the national political agenda.
