The AFL in it's statement on the Tippet affair stated that the Crows had not breached the salary cap. The offence was involvement in undisclosed third party deals. The press ought to get that right and stop using the term "breaching the salary cap" because it is not accurate.

With Free Agency, draft picks are less valuable than they were before. Now teams have to be sent a message - breach the cap and you risk missing out on premiership contention.

Taking away premiership points or reducing the number is a silly idea - it would encourage the players to go for last spot.
Draft picks is the only way.

you should have told the truth fron day one, especially to your team mates. got what you deserved. 11 matches, $50,000 fine and hopefully no pay for the 11 games, plus lawyers fees. you will nees to get big dollars. ha ha ha. go crows
