Neighbours tried to save man

A body has been found after a shed fire at Mount Gravatt early Thursday morning. 

Emergency services were called the Bentham Street property at 2.48am where they discovered a detached 7m x 4m shed on fire.

It is understood the deceased person is a man, but further details about other occupants at the property were unclear.

Four fire crews managed to put out the blaze by 3.30am.

Police said the shed was in the backyard of the residence, and no other buildings were damaged.

The body was found inside the shed and police remain at the scene as investigations into the cause of the fire continue.
