Boy Page bailed over Mount Isa attack on Melissa Abdoo

A 28-year-old man accused of striking Mount Isa pub worker Melissa Abdoo has been granted bail.

Boy Page was charged with grievous bodily harm after allegedly striking Ms Abdoo outside the Buffs Club in Mount Isa in the early hours of Saturday morning, after he was refused entry by a security guard.

CCTV captures 'one-punch' assault at Mt Isa nightclub

Raw vision shows the moment Melissa Abdoo suffered an alleged 'one-punch' assault outside The Buffs Club in Mt Isa, Queensland in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The alleged attack was caught on security camera.

A man, who police will allege was Mr Page, struck Ms Abdoo with a single blow to the head, as she was faced away from him talking to a woman believed to be Mr Page's partner.

The blow knocked Ms Abdoo to the ground, where she struck her head on the path.

She was rushed to Mount Isa Hospital with suspected bleeding on the brain and later transferred to Townsville Hospital.

Her condition improved from critical when she was first admitted to stable on Sunday.

Mr Page appeared before a Mount Isa magistrate on Monday morning, where he was granted bail on the charge of causing grievous bodily harm.

Bail was granted on a number of conditions, including that he refrain from drinking alcohol and does not contact Ms Abdoo.

He is due to reappear on February 8.
