Seven News:

Kristian Silva: A $250,000 reward which police hope will solve the suspected murder case of Novy Chardon is a Queensland record.

Superintendent Dave Hutchinson said the reward could be offered to an accomplice, but not to a person who committed the crime of murder. Indemnity from prosecution could also be offered, he said.

"If they want to take the chance and wait for police to come and knock on their door, they might be sorry they didn't make the telephone call and get in first and get the indemnity."

  • As far as I'm concerned, he has no right going anywhere on taxpayers money. Both Australia & the US have telephones, facsimilie machines, and email. Since the state is ostensibly in financial poo, surely it would make sense to minimize expenditure by forgoing ridiculous & utterly pointless political junkets ??

  • Given Newman's right of right of right ways and feelings, Texan Governor Perry might learn something from the Queensland Premier in the course of the latter's extended stay in the US of A.

How dare the Queensland incumbent leave Queensland for such a long period in the tender clutches of the redneck member for Callide.

  • Ron Paul ... if he would have him. Could explain what a real libertarian / liberal is.

Our blue clowns are Liberal by name only and having things like GST (without removal of promised duties), blanket gun ban and VLAD laws against their name should make them ashamed of themselves.

We have fascist leaning socialism and communist leaning socialism as our two false choices.

  • Maybe he should stay in Texas - they seem to like him there. Notice he is still spouting his big day dream policies except he is doing over the other side of the world instead of here. One day we might hear a policy that is actually going to do something real and long lasting for this state - ever hopeful.

  • Poor lady on the tram tracks. Hope she is ok, an honest mistake when things are new and unfamiliar, probably not a good idea putting trams or should I say light rail on the goldy, an over head system would be less expensive, more efficient and safe. What happens when the street tracks fill with sand on windy days? Can any body tell me?
