The decision not to pursue the charge was announced as the 36-year-old was committed to face Brisbane District Court and answer 24 counts of supplying dangerous drugs and one count of attempted supply.

Mr McCann did not enter a plea and chose not to speak as the supply charges were mentioned in Cleveland Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

The prosecutor said 14 witnesses would be called in the District Court trial, a date for which has yet to be set.

However, it was announced that no evidence would be offered for one count of drug trafficking alleged against Mr McCann, and as such prosecutors will not proceed with the charge.

Mr McCann was arrested and charged with the drug offences on September 1 last year after a police raid on his Raby Bay home.

He was remanded in custody at his first court appearance, but was granted bail in October after an application was made in Brisbane Supreme Court.

Magistrate Athol Kennedy extended those bail conditions on Tuesday.

He adjourned the remainder of Mr McCann's charges, including possession of things (drug paraphenalia), to Cleveland Magistrates Court on July 16.

Mr McCann and his solicitor did not comment further on the case outside court.
