A Brisbane family is set to spend its second night fearing for the safety of 13-year-old boy Connaire Daniels.

The boy was last seen leaving a Blackwood Road, Salisbury, home at 11.30am on Sunday.

It is believed he was planning to catch a train to South Bank to meet with friends.

Connaire's sister Jessie Percival posted about his disappearance on Facebook.

"He/Someone deactivated his faecbook (sic) account shortly after my brother Jake, posted on his wall asking his friends if they knew where he is/was," she wrote.

"Connaire is also diabetic, requiring insulin.

"He does not have a mobile phone on him and would have limited cash."

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, 193cm tall with a slim build, auburn hair and brown eyes.

He was wearing a white T-shirt, cream shorts and red shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
