A woman has been killed in a crash on Brisbane's bayside after a suspected stolen car being followed by police ran a red light.

The suspected stolen car was travelling on Finucane Road when it allegedly ran a red light and collided with the woman's vehicle at the intersection of Vienna Road about 1.30pm on Thursday.
The woman, aged in her 60s, died upon impact.
It is understood police officers in an unmarked car had tried to intercept the stolen car before the crash.
The man and the woman travelling in the suspected stolen car were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
Five ambulance crews attended the scene, while two Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews used special cutting equipment to free the injured motorists.
Finucane Road remained closed in both directions at 5pm, with diversions via McDonald Road from the east and Cambridge Road from the west.
The Forensic Crash Unit and Police Ethical Standards Command are investigating.
