Two police cars were rammed and an officer had his hand fractured in a car chase stretching from the Sunshine Coast to Kallangur.
About 9.15pm yesterday Coolum police were conducting patrols at Marcoola when they identified a stolen vehicle, which they attempted to intercept, on Sunset Strip.
The driver of the vehicle rammed the side of the police car before driving off.
About 10.50pm, the stolen car was seen travelling southbound at high speed along the Bruce Highway, near Morayfield.
Police deployed spikes at the Buchanan Road overpass, puncturing the car's two front tyres, but the driver again failed to stop.
A few minutes later, on Anzac Avenue, Kallangur, the stolen vehicle rammed the rear of a police van, causing it to roll onto its roof.
The stolen vehicle then continued along Anzac Avenue, turned on to Narangba Road, and came to a stop at the intersection of Eucumbene Road after colliding with a gutter.

A male constable sustained a fractured hand while apprehending the passenger and a male sergeant, the sole occupant of the police van, sustained minor injuries.
A 21-year-old Kallangur man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
