Police issued a public plea for information at the weekend after Tara Inglis, 28, and her 18-month-old daughter could not be found following their last known sighting, near the Booval Fair shopping centre.

But on Sunday night, police announced the mother and daughter had been found safe and well.

Prior to that, Ms Inglis was last seen pushing her daughter in a pink pram between 3 and 4pm on Tuesday near the intersection of Brisbane Road and South Station Road in Booval.

Police believe Ms Inglis and her daughter were near the Commonwealth Bank at Booval Fair Shopping Centre close to the time she was last seen.

Detectives have spoken to Ms Inglis' former partner who was with her at the shopping centre, but still hold serious concerns for the wellbeing of her and her daughter.

Police said both Ms Inglis and her daughter suffer from medical conditions and they do not believe Ms Inglis is carrying supplies, such as food and clothing, for herself or her daughter.

A police spokesman said officers were still searching for Ms Inglis on Sunday morning, but believed she was still in the Booval area.

Ms Inglis has been described as about 150 centimetres tall, very slim build, short dyed red hair and was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, shorts and thongs.

Detectives have issued an urgent public appeal for information to help find the missing mother and daughter.
