A 22-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a Caboolture woman on Monday night.

The injured 21-year-old victim fronted at the Caboolture Hospital about 8.10pm, following the altercation earlier in the night at a property on McKean Street, Caboolture, north of Brisbane.

Police allege the 22-year-old from Scarborough stabbed the victim in the shoulder with a knife, causing serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Officers later arrested the alleged attacker at a Rarity Street address where she needed medical treatment for facial injuries.

The 22-year-old is due to face the Caboolutre Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.
