The Canberra Raiders have denied reports that skipper Terry Campese will miss tonight's match against the Brisbane Broncos with a knee injury, but backrower Joel Thompson could be a surprise inclusion.

Campese has struggled with fluid on his knees before and after last Sunday's win against the New Zealand Warriors and only trained once this week, yesterday morning.
Sam Williams has flown to Brisbane as a shadow for Campese, but a Raiders club spokesman reassured fans that the skipper would take his place in the side. The Raiders are hoping Campese can make it through tonight's game, which will give him a fortnight to rest ahead of their Round 8 clash against the Cronulla Sharks at Canberra Stadium.
Meanwhile, Thompson is set to make an early return to the field, just two weeks after injuring his ankle against the North Queensland Cowboys.
Thompson will have a fitness test before tonight's kick-off and, if successful, will come into the team for Jarrad Kennedy.
It would be a massive boost for the Raiders and Thompson, who is in line for selection in the Country representative team to be named on Sunday evening.
