"I can reassure all the Canberra fans that we're not in the business of trying to convince people to renege on commitments that they've already made," Annesley told Fairfax Media on Wednesday night.

"We've been asked that several times today and we're not going down that path.

"Whilst Aidan's been a great player for us and is a great player and is a great acquisition for the Raiders, we won't be trying to ask him to change his mind."

There were fears the Raiders could again be the victim of the dreaded round 13 rule after Daly Cherry-Evans turned his back on the Titans to stay with Manly.

The Titans have plenty of space in the salary cap, but Annesley doesn't expect Sezer to approach the club.

"There's been no suggestion that would happen," Annesley said.

"As far as I'm aware, Aidan is happy with his decision and he's said that publicly in the past.

"We're only five or six days from the expiry of the June 13 deadline, so I don't expect that to happen."

Raiders chief executive Don Furner said the decision by Cherry-Evans didn't change the situation with Sezer.

"We never had any doubt about that," Furner said. "[We have] spoken to [Sezer] and his manager a number of times, so I wouldn't anticipate any change.

"(Cherry-Evans staying at Manly) has been tipped for a while. I'm not sure that is a big surprise, so I can't see a change."

Annesley said the Titans would not consider offering Sezer an increased offer with their focus on off-contract players from other clubs.

"[Titans coach] Neil [Henry] is already looking at who else is on the market," Annesley said.

"He and his recruitment staff are working on players that are currently unsigned for next year.

"It would be hypocritical for us to start poaching a player who has made a commitment after we have been on the receiving end of that treatment today."

The Raiders have been burnt in past seasons by the round 13 rule.

The most notable was Wests Tigers fullback James Tedesco, who signed with the Raiders last year before turning his back on moving to Canberra.

The Raiders were also deep in negotiations with Panthers winger Josh Mansour and Storm second-rower Kevin Proctor.

Both players decided to remain with their current clubs.

With Cherry-Evans staying at Manly, it opens up an opportunity for off-contract Raiders halfback Mitch Cornish at the Titans.

"I don't get involved in those decisions, I leave those with the coaching and recruitment staff," Annesley said of Cornish.

"They have a list of players who are uncontracted for next year."

Cornish is playing in the NSW Cup with Mounties after losing the battle with Sam Williams for the Raiders' No.7 jersey.

Sezer is allowed to back out of his contract with the Raiders before next Wednesday.
