Canberra Raiders stars Josh Papalii and Terry Campese have avoided suspension after both players were placed on report in Monday's 30-18 win over Brisbane at Canberra Stadium.
Papalii avoided a charge after he was booked for a lifting tackle on Josh Hoffman in the dying second of the match.
Campese was charged with dangerous contact/unnecessary use of the knees tackling Jack Reed in the first half, but will avoid suspension.
The Raiders have taken the early guilty plea and Campese's clean record means he will be given 56 loading points.
The news is a massive relief for Papalii in particular, who is rated a strong chance to make his debut for Queensland in State of Origin II at Suncorp Stadium on June 6.
Many experts feel enforcer Papalii can add some youth and spark to an ageing Maroons pack comprehensively outplayed by the Blues in the series opener.
Papalii did his selection chances no harm with 151 metres and 30 tackles in Canberra's win, which propelled it into the top eight.
In-form winger Edrick Lee will undergo scans on an arm injury today after copping a knock against the Broncos.
