Should the NRL impose a salary cap on coaching payments? Phil Gould and Andrew Webster discuss the big issues in League.

Allianz Stadium, Moore Park, 3pm (AEST)

Last meeting: Round 21 2013 - Roosters 42 bt Panthers 6 at Sportingbet Stadium

Head-to-head: Roosters 50 Panthers 30 drawn 1

Referees: Ashley Klein, Adam Gee

TV: Live, FoxSports 1

Ladbrokes: Sydney Roosters $1.29, Penrith Panthers $3.75

Betfair: Sydney Roosters $1.33, Penrith Panthers $3.85

AAP writes:  The Roosters have had an extra week to stew over their shock loss to the Sharks and should be fired up for this one after going into camp on the NSW Central Coast. They need to make a statement against top-of-the-table Penrith and get their premiership defence back on track. The Panthers have had a ridiculously easy draw but a win here can go some way to silencing their naysayers. Matt Moylan has been named in the Panthers halves alongside Jamie Soward with Peter Wallace (ankle) and Tyrone Peachey (pec-season) sidelined but Bryce Cartwright is likely to play there. Winger Daniel Tupou (back) is out for the Roosters with Nene Macdonald his replacement. Kiwi flanker Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (hamstring) has not been named but could be a late inclusion.

Key: Pride. The Roosters gave up the club’s biggest ever lead to last-placed Cronulla and need to win here and win well to build some momentum into the finals after an inconsistent year.

Tip: Roosters
