Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy is reportedly considering an offer to move to rival club St George Illawarra for the 2013 NRL season.
Fox Sports is reporting that Bellamy has confirmed he will decide on his immediate future in January, just weeks before the start of the season.
"It is either Storm or one other club..." the Storm icon is reported as saying.
Bellamy is not naming St George as the team that has approached him. He has coached Storm since 2003, and as recently as October he rejected a big offer from the New Zealand Warriors.
Bellamy is signed to coach Melbourne until the end of 2013, when it was expected he might consider a move. But the possibility of the premiership mentor leaving more than half-way through pre-season is a major shock.
Bellamy, who led the Storm to a premiership just two years after the club was stripped of two premierships over salary cap breaches, previously maintained that he would remain with the Storm in 2013, but had been non-committal about his future beyond 2013.
