A review into the Warriors' remarkable fall from grace has already begun and chief executive Wayne Scurrah won't guarantee coach Brian McClennan's survival.
After reaching the grand final last season under Ivan Cleary, the Warriors will miss the finals this year under McClennan, the former New Zealand national coach. And the nature of the Warriors' fall has led to Scurrah admitting the club has been ''embarrassed''.
Scurrah said he had met with captain Simon Mannering for an hour on Tuesday to discuss the season, along with other staff, and said the club's review process had been brought forward this year in light of the side's recent form.
''There's been a lot of soul-searching going on, probably for the last four to six weeks,'' Scurrah told Radio Sport. ''We've started the review process … a lot earlier because the signs weren't great.
''My job and his job are always on the line - that's part of the gig and Brian accepts that, and I accept that.''
