NRL: Canberra Raiders' Joey Leilua cleared of contrary conduct by judiciary

Canberra centre Joey Leilua will be free to play the Bulldogs in round five after being found not guilty of contrary conduct by the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night.

Leilua was charged for striking Sydney Roosters prop Dylan Napa during the Raiders' 21-20 win in round two.

The Raiders argued the 10 minutes Leilua spent in the sin bin after the incident was a sufficient punishment and the judiciary panel took less than five minutes to clear him.

The 24-year-old will still miss Saturday's home clash against the Gold Coast Titans as he completes his two-week ban for a spear tackle in the Roosters win.

The Monday night fixture at the Dogs' spiritual home of Belmore Oval should be a special one for Leilua, who grew up close to the ground.
