Pomeroy must face judiciary over shoulder charge on Thurston

Date

Sharks centre Ben Pomeroy will front the judiciary on Wednesday night after being charged with dangerous contact following his shoulder charge on Johnathan Thurston yesterday afternoon.

Under strict new rules introduced by the ARL Commission last week, Pomeroy has been sent straight to the judiciary.

He was placed on report in the 76th minute of yesterday's game after a shoulder charge that left the Cowboys skipper dazed and face-down on the turf.

Parramatta forward Reni Maitua has been charged with a grade two careless high tackle on Josh Miller and will miss two games next season with an early plea.
