Rabbitohs hooker Issac Luke badly exposed Canberra's marker defence in last Friday night's 36-18 loss at ANZ Stadium.
The Raiders are considering promoting Shaun Berrigan to starting hooker to spark their own attack.
''I think we got found out a little bit on the weekend with Issac Luke, he certainly caused us a lot of trouble around the ruck,'' McFadden said. ''Luke and Robbie Farah have both got a lot of variation to their game and it's something we probably didn't handle very well on the weekend, Issac Luke's running game, so it's something we really have to work on and try and nullify.
''When you've got very dynamic runners out of [dummy half] they can expose that very quickly, so it's probably going to come down to a couple of things - tightening the ruck, but also controlling the ruck [speed].''
