It is still too early to start singing Glory, Glory to South Sydney, but that hasn't stopped Rabbitohs fans from snapping up close to 7000 tickets for this year's premiership decider.
In the first few hours after grand final tickets went on sale to club members on Tuesday morning, more than 12,000 seats were booked, with 54 per cent of those hoping the team in red and green will be there on October 6.
It is by far the biggest allocation of tickets of any club in the NRL, with Sydney Roosters the next best with 10 per cent of tickets purchased on the opening day of sales.
Within the first two hours sales on Tuesday, more tickets were purchased than in the entire first day of sales last year.
Canterbury fans were among the most confident in purchasing tickets last year, with South Sydney members also riding their team's success with 24 per cent of the tickets sold on day one last year.
But confidence in their team's ability to progress through to final weekend of the season has skyrocketed this year given Souths are flying high at the top of the ladder.
Not even a shock golden-point loss to St George Illawarra on the eve of the ticket sales, nor a rise in ticket prices, could deter the Bunnies faithful from guaranteeing a grand final spot.
Diamond category seating almost sold out inside two minutes of the priority window opening, with only single seats remaining in that section.
Percentage of grand final tickets purchased by each clubs' members: Broncos: 4.4%, Bulldogs: 5.8%, Cowboys: 1.0%, Dragons: 3.7%, Eels: 2.0%, Knights: 1.8%, Storm: 3.9%, Panthers: 1.2%, Souths: 54.6%, Raiders: 1.9%, Roosters: 10.7%, Manly: 3.1%, Sharks: 1.2%, Titans: 1.2%, Tigers: 2.2%, Warriors: 1.7%.
