Talking point: Has Brad Arthur named his final team of 2014? The Eels need to win and rely on Brisbane and the Warriors to lose. Arthur has named the same 17 that lost to the Knights. However there will be one change with Ben Smith having played his final NRL game having accepted a three match ban. Pauli Pauli, who played Holden Cup last week, is in line to replace him.

News from the judiciary: Greg Bird, Dale Finucane, Mitch Rein and Adam Reynolds all to miss 1 week. Adam Docker will miss 2 games and Ben Smith 3 games. Sam Thaiday and Issac Luke will fight their charges at the judiciary tonight.

G’day and welcome to round 26 of Talkin’ Teams and Ultimate League. It only seem like yesterday we were talking about the opening round  - how time flies when you’re having fun! Today we will try and complete the Talkin’ Teams and Ultimate League team of the year, have all the round 26 NRL teams and all important trades for those playing in Ultimate League grand finals.

  • If Souths play as boringly as last week, they deserve to lose their next three games and earn a fast exit from the finals. The Roosters will cook the Bunnies and win the MP on the way to 2 GF wins in a row- and a 3rd next year! Watch while SBW goes all out to impress the All Blacks hierarchy over the next 5 weeks

  • Love the idea of the might tri-colour stealing a minor premiership this season, although I think it will be a tough ask to beat Souths without Jake Friend.

    • Will struggle to go back to back without him. He was probably the Roosters best in the finals last season. Best case scenario is hopefully we win the first round and he'll be right for the GF qualifier, otherwise we could go out the back door!
