Here is Michael Carayannis' match report from ANZ Stadium. Happy ready and enjoy your weekend. Match report
That's it for the blog from today's match. If we get a couple more matches like that this weekend, the Easter break should be something special. There will be a report from today's match on smh.com.au shortly. For those wanting more live blogs tonight, the Manly-Cowboys contest is coming your way. Football fans can also follow the action in the Sydney FC-Melbourne Victory A-League elimination final.
What a game. Two good teams playing hard in a match that went down to the wire. That's Canterbury's third one-point win in as many games. James Graham is man of the match and rightly so. He was awesome, but wasn't alone.
Game over. Dogs win.
80th minute: Adam Reynolds attempts a field goal from inside his own half. Not surprisingly it falls short.Back to top
Souths down to their last set. They need to go 95m.
78th minute: Third-time lucky. Trent Hodkinson with the field goal. He was never going to miss. Dogs lead 15-14
Charge down of a Adam Reynolds field goal attempt give Souths six more tackles. Dogs in trouble.
Nathan Merritt misses a field goal attempt. Terrible effort by Souths to set it up. Merritt was in poor position. Three minutes remain.
76th minute: Josh Reynolds misses a field goal attempt. He had enough time. Should have done better from a good position on the field.

Sutton chases a 40-20 but kicks it dead. The Dogs have seven tackles. Field goal anyone?
Another bomb to Goodwin. He takes this one much to the relief of Rabbitohs' fans.
72nd minute: Hodkinson makes no mistakes. Scores are level. This is a great match. Eight minutes remain. 14-14
Bryson Goodwin drops a bomb and the Dogs have the chance to level the scores and a penalty for off-side. This hasn't been a good couple of minutes for the Rabbits.
68th minute: TRY. I guess that explains why I am not a video ref. That looked a lot more questionable than the try that Dogs were denied in the first half. Corey Thompson awarded the try. Trent Hodkinson converts from the sideline. Souths 14-12Back to top
The video ref is back. A try is the decision on the field, but obstruction looks the likely outcome.
64th minute: Souths' power game pays off again. After Sam Burgess steam-rolled his way over the line in the first half, John Sutton does it in the second. Souths are a massive team and the Dogs were unable to keep Sutton out. Reynolds converts. Souths 14-6
62nd minute: This is getting better. Sam Burgess' charge into the Dogs defence was an awesome sight. The Dogs then make a break only to see Sam Perrett drop the ball (again). Sammy has had a rough few minutes.
We are in for a thrilling finish here. With 21 minutes remaining South lead to by two points. Both teams are ripping in. This is footy at it's best. And to think William and Kate said no to this. What else are they doing right now? Unless they are watching the wood chopping at the Easter Show there is no excuse. #epicfail
52nd minute: The Dogs finally get it together. They score. A sweeping right-to-left play results in Sam Perrett supplying the telling pass as Mitch Brown scores out wide. The Dogs are back and Souths' injury woes have suddenly become all the more important. Trent Hodkinson converts from the sideline. Souths 8-6Back to top
