Jackson-Hope will complete a massive week when he takes his place on the Brumbies bench at AAMI Park just days after being named in the Australian under-20s side for the junior World Cup.

The Brumbies have been forced into a late reshuffle to their line-up after versatile back Robbie Coleman was forced to withdraw with a hamstring problem.

James Dargaville will move from the wing to inside centre while Lausii Taliauli will get his first start of the season on the wing.

That opens the door for Jackson-Hope to make the jump from the junior ranks to his Super Rugby debut.

The Brumbies signed St Edmund's College graduate Jackson-Hope to a development contract this season after he impressed in a trial match against the NSW Waratahs.

The Brumbies will also fly Jackson-Hope's national under-20s teammate Nick Jooste to Melbourne to cover for injuries.

"I don't think anyone's seen much of [Jackson-Hope]. But he's been training with us and has been playing at that No. 12 role ... if he comes on the field he'll most likely fill that," said Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham.

"He's excited and most of the guys are excited for him. It was pretty hard to pick between Jordan and Nick.

"The beauty of this team and organisation is that we've been able to adapt to situations on and off the field. Having Christian [Lealiifano] out there, he's one of the best at making situations work out there.

"Jordan's been waiting for this opportunity ... he's got some really good attacking skills. Defensively he throws his body on the line in front of anyone."

It caps off a big week for the 20-year-old, who was picked in the Australian under-20s squad on Tuesday for the junior World Cup alongside ACT representatives Jooste, Tyrel Lomax and Faalelei Sione.

It is hoped Coleman will only miss one game and be back to play the Japan Sunwolves on May 28.

But his absence adds to a Brumbies back line without Wallabies stars Matt Toomua (knee), Henry Speight (fractured skull) and Joseph Tomane (knee) and their depth is being tested.

Larkham believes his back ups to fill the void and keep the Brumbies' title hopes alive as they fight to resurrect their season.

The Brumbies beat the Pretoria Bulls last weekend to restore confidence after losing four of their previous six games.

But the game against the Rebels takes on even more significance given the tight battle for top spot in the Australian conference.

"Have a look at the Rebels game and they're quite good at the breakdown, with Colby Faingaa and Sean McMahon in the back row they'll be pretty hard at the ball," Larkham said.

"That's where they stifle teams - that will be a real focus for us. Every game is important from now on, we're in that situation where we have to win each week. But our focus isn't too far ahead."

The Brumbies and the NSW Waratahs are level on 25 points on the ladder while the Rebels are just two points behind.

However, the Waratahs and the Rebels have an extra game in hand compared to the Brumbies, giving them an opportunity to jump ahead of the ACT side.
