The Islander lads from both teams gathering for a prayer session in the middle of the ground! Touching finish to a brutal encounter...

The post mortem begins for the Brumbies. They farewell a swag full of players and staff - Ben Mowen, Clyde Rathbone and Laurie Fisher to name a few.

For the Tahs it's all about recovering from this bruising encounter. How will they pull up from their strenuous defending. Will Skelton have a case to answer for his high hit on White?

Brumbies pushing for one last score as the siren sounds. Of course the Tahs have been penalised again. But that's it...it's a Tahs v Crusaders grand final at ANZ Stadium next satdee night...

80: So, Taqele Naiyaravoro hasn't been on long. His main contribution is nailing Pat McCabe late and getting sin binned...

Not much more to say than "Go Crusaders!" For some bizarre reason there are a few Tahs fans leaving!? Trying to beat the traffic...

76: Completely against the run of play, Robinson gathers a flick back from the sideline by Tomane. Ends up with Skelton, who no one can tackle and he sends it across to Foley, try time. All over now. Foley lines up...gets it. Waratahs 26-8.

75: Well the Brums need two tries. The go with the short kickoff and Tomane flies high for it. Skelton finally penalised for not rolling away. Been a bit of it tonight. Brumbies kick to the corner...

72: Waratahs wasting time now as the clock ticks towards the 80. Foley lining up  from 40m out, 10m in from the right sideline. He gets it! Waratahs 19-8.

68: All the pressure on the Waratahs line atm but theyre withstanding everything. Fardy found himself on the overlap down the right wing, but got dragged into touch....just. We resume the Brumbies' press on the Tahs line...

The Waratahs defence has been fantastic tonight. Stood strong repeatedly. Ruaidhri Murphy getting his head strapped atm. Record finals match at Allianz of 38,800...

While we wait for the scrum to pack down again, had a great round of golf this morning. Really putted well in the fog, just need to work on my long irons a bit, not quite catching them flush...

Chuckle, crowd chanting "NSW, NSW, NSW" I guess life is so boring here they have plenty of time to think up their chants... #seewhatididthere #reversal

64: Gotta love Nic White! Getting up in Skelton's face! Almost needed a stepladder....Brumbies get a penalty at the breakdown and they're packing a scrum just 5m out. Time for one final push...

58: The Brumbies blow an attacking chance, with Skelton killing a rolling maul just 15 metres from the try line. Huge play from a huge man

57: Nic White now lying prone on the ground after an apparent high shot. Reckon the ref will have a look at it. Skelton the one laying the tackle. We go to the big screen. Nothing malicious in that, just a massive bloke trying to tackle a little bloke. Ref awards the penalty, about 30m out. Brumbies again go to the corner. White up and about again....

Double wrecking ball action! On comes Will Skelton and Fotu Auelua! Meanwhile the  Brumbies kick to the corner and go after the Tahs lineout, but they lose it!

54: Great scrum by the Brumbies, but the Waratahs hold on to the ball just 5m out, they box-kick clear. Brumbies lineout at the 22...

News gets worse for the Brumbies with Speight done for the night, something wrong with his hammy by the looks. On comes Joe Tomane. Great work by the Tahs fans clapping him off but little solace for Henry and Brumbies fans...

Jarrad Butler tries to make a break for the Brumbies but is tackled by the Waratahs defence.

51: It's Fiji time! Henry Speight with a massive break down the middle from inside his own half, flicks it to Kuridrani who is pulled down just metres out. Trouble for Speight who is in the hand of the doc. Meanwhile, the Brumbies spread it to the other corner and Coleman drops the ball with the tryline begging...

And Mogg is taken straight from the field with Pat McCabe coming on at fullback...

48: Mogg has the ball ripped out of his hands in the tackle by Kurtley Beale and he charges into the corner. Foley to have a shot from the sideline. Lealiifano's miss even more crucial now...Foley also misses, hitting the upright. Waratahs 16-8.

Apparently Canberra bashing is still "cool" in Sydney...

Tevita Kuridrani in the hands of the doc after coming off second best following a big tackle he put on. He's given the all clear...

42: Ref has a word to Hooper. Repeated penalties means the next one could be a yellow card. They're on notice. Lealiifano to have a shot from the 22 on a slight angle. But he missed it! The woes continue. White to take the next one? Christian looking a bit dejected about that one. Waratahs 11-8.

40: While everyone was distracted by food, the game got under way again...

Give someone a wrap and they never leave you alone...more from @geerob

""Guru" hey, Polky. I'll take it. The Waratahs, meanwhile, need to listen and listen good to their coach at half time. Michael Cheika has proved adept this season at clicking his fingers at halftime and watching his players respond. They will need to tonight. The Brumbies reacted quickly to their mid-field defensive frailties early on and aren't giving the home side much room to move. Laurie Fisher promised this wouldn't be a 6-3 affair. He promised. 11-8 is no real consolation."

    Around the grounds:

    AFL

Hawthorn 3.8 26 lead Sydney 3.7 25 halfway through second quarter

    NRL

Cowboys 12 lead Bulldogs 6 at halftime

Here's a snippet from SMH rugby guru Georgina Robinson:

"There have been widespread reports of poor service at Allianz Stadium tonight. When I arrived, customers ahead of me at a sandwich and coffee stand on the western side of the stadium were told that there would be no EFTPOS for the evening. Some fans reported a 45-minute wait and one said he literally served himself at the Moore Park end of the stadium - after paying of course. How was your experience? Email me on ge.robinson@fairfaxmedia.com.au or @geerob on Twitter."

Apparently chicken fans are crying out for chicken tonight as well! #ohthehumanity

40: Foley converts a penalty right on the buzzer to restore the Waratahs' lead at the break. Waratahs 11-8.

Punters not happy with the queues here at Allianz Stadium. Good luck at halftime!!!

39: So nearly a half done and we're right back to where we started! Lealiifano knocks over the penalty from directly in front. 8-all.

Looks like the ref abuse has started a little late tonight...

Here's the Speight try for yall...

31: They're going to the TMO, Henry "Bro with the Fro" Speight has gone over in the corner. All clear! The Brumbies used the forwards to pile on the pressure then flicked it wide to a three-on-one overlap. You don't stop Speight there! I'll take this opportunity to have a crack out the Australian Dept of Immigration for not letting Henry's brother and sister into the country to watch him play over the last two weeks. Embarrassing to be an Australian to say the least. Lealiifano misses the shot from the sideline. Waratahs 8-5.

29: Yet another penalty given away by the Tahs. Brumbies packing down the scrum, 5m out...

27: Another penalty against the Tahs. This time grabbing onto White at the ruck. Again they kick to the corner. Again going for the lineout. Is it coiz they see it as a weakness or concerns over Christian Lealiifano's kicking?

26: Waratahs penalised for taking Nic White off the ball. They show their attacking intent and kick for the corner. Going after the Tahs lineout...

Waratahs winning the physicality battle as Adam Ashley-Cooper gets a nice hit on Tevita Kuridrani. Has the visitors a bit rattled atm...

24: Big hit by Michael Hooper on Jesse Mogg, driving him back about 5m and the Brumbies penalised for joiining the tackle from the side. But their lineout is starting to fracture and the visitors clear the danger...

22: Brumbies penalised at the breakdown for not staying on their feet. They disagreed, but it counts for nought as Foley knocks it over from about 15m out. Waratahs 8-0.

You have to feel sorry for whoever is sitting behind Brumby Jack in the crowd. As a horse, he's rather tall and not built for human seating. Direct all complaints to Waratahs front office...

19: Somehow Brumbies lock Leon Power is cramping already. Brumbies legend Rod Kafer saying it's because of the heavy track. He thinks the mudeaters will come out on top tonight...

16: But Brumbies hooker Josh Mann-Rea loses the ball in the tackle and the Tahs will pack down about 10m out. Who will win the battle of the big men?

15: Tahs scrum penalised for not being straight. White kicks to the corner and the Brumbies will attack the Waratahs lineout about 20m out...

The voice of the Canberra Cavalry Chris Coleman getting on the Brumbies bandwagon...

Pressure all on the Brumbies at the moment. Despite talking up their big-game experience, they're the ones showing a few nerves early. Great break by the Tahs was luckily to get shut down by Toomua getting off the line quickly and relieves the pressure...

3: But the Brumbies make the first mistake...Nic White throwing a loose pass from the ruck and it bounces straight into the hands of Alofa Alofa, who wins the foot race from 60m out. Bernard Foley misses the conversion. Waratahs 5-0.

1 minute: great start by the Brumbies, getting the first pilfer at the breakdown and then chipping into the corner. But they relieve the pressure by giving away a penalty at the resultant lineout...

And we're away! Tahs kick off to the right of screen...

Brumbies led onto the field by 50-gamers Sam Carter and Jesse Mogg. Two resplendent afros out on the ground now - Henry "Bro with the Fro" Speight and Joe "Fro with the Show" Tomane....

Very nice of the Waratahs fans to give the Brumbies a standing ovation as they go off the field after completing their warm-up...

For those interested in the Hawthorn-Sydney game, Hawks assistant coach Brett Ratten was looking very calm in the pre-game interview on the telly, while Sydney's Stuart Dew looked a bit dis-shevelled...

Anyone interested in the John I Dent Cup result today...the Queanbeyan Whites got up 33-32 over Tuggeranong Vikings in an absolute thriller of a major semi-final at Viking Park today.

The Whites go straight into the grand final, while the Vikings take on the winner of Gungahlin Eagles and Wests, who play tomorrow...

Oh, apparently the Waratahs are playing tonight as well. I'll try to do my best of keeping our little brothers and sisters from NSW updated as well. I guess you deserve a mention given you've single-handedly saved rugby union in Australia....

Looks like the Hogwarts brass band just walked into the stadium wearing resplendent purple capes. I've struggled to watch Harry Potter since Dobbie died, such a needless waste of life...

Apparently size doesn't matter, just ask Brumbies flyer Robbie Coleman...

There's a serious side to sport. Brumbies flanker Tom McVerry has had a tough time of late, but things are on the up and up. Here's his story...

So the crowd is filtering in to Allianz Stadium and Brumby Jack has arrived, looking very defiant against the totalitarian NSW Waratahs administrators. If you're unaware of why our Brumy Jack is in the stands and not on the field, check this out...
