But even with AC/DC's Thunderstruck blaring through the speakers at Twickenham, the Wallabies will have to break new ground at England's rugby home and achieve what no Australian team has managed.

The Wallabies will continue their Twickenham run when they play Scotland in a World Cup quarter-final clash at the home of rugby on Sunday (Monday morning AEDT).

They have to win five games in a row at the ground if they want to be crowned World Cup champions, a winning-streak never achieved by Australian teams.

Their best record has been two in a row, but they've claimed big matches in the 1991 World Cup final against England and the 1999 semi-final against South Africa.

And to make it feel more like home, Wallabies attack coach Stephen Larkham organised to have an AC/DC classic play through the ground's loud speakers at the last training session every week.

The players have even put rugby on hold at training to channel the Australian cricket team by setting up a pitch down the middle of Twickenham.

So far it has worked wonders, with the Wallabies rising to the occasion to beat England and Wales on foreign turf.

The Thunderstruck revelation came after the Wallabies spent two weeks in the United States at the Notre Dame campus, where the gridiron coach would pump music through the speakers for entire training sessions.

"It's just a bit of fun, honestly. We've been mucking around with all things Australian around the place," Cheika said.

"We're a very multi-cultural bunch so we're always playing around. I think that was just a bit of fun at training. We went to the training at Notre Dame and the coach had the music pumped up ridiculous throughout the whole session.

"I don't think we could do it the whole time, but we thought we'd have a bit of fun. It wasn't my idea, the great Stephen Larkham came up with that one behind my back."

The Wallabies also put down the rugby ball and traded it for cricket bats and a pitch in the middle of Twickenham to show they're at ease with their surroundings.

But when asked if an Australian rock classic was part of a psychological element to make Twickenham feel like home, Cheika said: "We haven't thought of it like that.

"I don't think Twickenham is ever going to be our home ground for some reason. But the way supporters have been has really helped - so vocal and loud in that stadium – is really helpful for us."
