Greg Growden writes: The Waratahs are taking the softly softly approach to their Canberra trip, unlike when Ewen McKenzie was in charge when they drove the team bus around and around Kingston. But Adam Ashley-Cooper has promised his teammates a real treat- a visit to Fishwyck. Stock up boys.
AAP writes: This could be the most telling Australian derby match of the season, with both teams desperate for victory. The Brumbies lead the Aussie Conference by five points over the Waratahs, but things will get a hell of a lot tighter for them on the run home if they drop this one at home in Canberra. For NSW, the consequences of defeat are far more dire. They face the Bulls next week in Sydney before embarking on their South African tour - and if they lose to the Brumbies they will be under enormous pressure to stay in the finals hunt. Adam Ashley-Cooper had his best game of the season for the Waratahs last week against the Crusaders, and he'll be keen for a big one against his old mates from the ACT. The Waratahs should have enough strike power to win, but if bad habits set in and they clock off at any stage, the dogged Brumbies have proven they'll be there to pick up the crumbs.
