Greg Growden writes: A great way to start the final round. One team on fire, and the other desperate to make the big time. The Chiefs have shown the way by playing enlightening, unpredictable football. Hint, hint Moore Park.
Tahs' road to ruin ends with Reds
A big win for the Reds against a slackening Tahs side could be their ticket to the finals.
AAP writes: No one expected the Hurricanes to still be in contention in the last round of the competition but the shocks must continue if they are to sneak into the play-offs. The Canes come off a bye but need a bonus-point victory over the front-running Chiefs. While they’re safe at the top of the Kiwi conference, the Chiefs must win well to ensure they keep pole position and home ground advantage in the finals. A tight loss to the Crusaders has kept them hungry and Aaron Cruden and SBW are the dominant 10-12 combination in the competition. Canes do have Victor Vito and Cory Jane back in a double shot in the arm.
