Mogg will meet with Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham on Monday to discuss the chances of playing against the Waikato Chiefs and superstar Sonny Bill Williams in New Plymouth on Friday night.

The Brumbies are expected to make minimal changes to their line-up after thrashing the Queensland Reds by 44 points in their season-opener, but No.15 Robbie Coleman is battling a hip problem.

If Coleman fails to recover in time, Mogg is set to bolster the Brumbies' back line just four months after major shoulder surgery and one month ahead of schedule.

"My mind is ready to play and my shoulder is feeling good. I could have played last week but [Larkham] decided to give me another week," Mogg said.

"I'll put my hand for selection again on Monday and if that means a trip to play the Chiefs then I'll be stoked.

"I'm not sure where Robbie is with his injury, but he was a class-act against the Reds. I'm ready and I want to go, but we'll just wait and see what [Larkham] decides."

The Brumbies' star-studded back line fired in the opening round against the Reds, scoring six tries to get the season off to a perfect start.

But they face a much stiffer competition against the Chiefs, who will be led by NRL premiership-winner Williams in a re-match of the 2013 Super Rugby grand final.

Williams will be pitted against an all-Wallabies mid-field combination of Matt Toomua, Christian Lealiifano and Tevita Kuridrani.

In the past the Brumbies have failed to put opposition teams to the sword, but Kuridrani believes they have added a new killer edge to their attack to rise to a new level this year.

"We've learnt from last year when we got in front of teams but they came back in the second half," Kuridrani said.

"We've worked on that and as soon as we know we're in front, we want to try to finish it off."

Mogg is the first to admit his form dipped last year after he made his Wallabies debut in 2013.

He struggled to find consistency and was left out of the Wallabies squad before injuring his shoulder during the National Rugby Championship and needed a five-month recovery.

Mogg will focus on his Brumbies performances and put any thoughts of the World Cup on hold until he starts to find his Super Rugby groove.

He was not part of a meeting in Canberra on Saturday set up by Wallabies coach Michael Cheika to bring together players from the Brumbies and the Reds to fast track World Cup plans.

"I struggled a lot with form, I was making too many mistakes and that was putting myself and the team under pressure," Mogg said.

"I wasn't really enjoying it. I've made a conscious effort to get the shoulder right and just enjoy rugby again. Hopefully that brings out what I was doing in 2012 and 2013.

"I overthought things a lot last year, they all just build up and when you're not enjoying it, mistakes come."

Mogg wants to eliminate errors from his game after averaging three or four mistakes per match last season.

"I just want to get back in the team, even if it's trying to add some X-factor from the bench and I've changed my mindset this season, I'll tried to just do what I'm good at now.

"I haven't spoken about Wallabies, my goal is just to get back in the team. [The World Cup] is a long way away, if you're not playing well in Super Rugby it will be a hard road to the Wallabies squad."
