Former Waratahs captain Phil Waugh was charged with mid-range drink driving in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Waugh was pulled over by police at 1.20am, on Friday, December 21.
A police spokesman said the 33-year-old was travelling along Sailors Bay Road, Northbridge, in north Sydney.
He was arrested and taken to Chatswood police station where he was breath tested and returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.083.
Police charged him with mid-range drink driving, his licence was suspended and he will appear at Hornsby Local Court on January 9.
The spokesman said it is believed there were no other passengers in the car.
