Player of the round: Will Genia. The Wallabies halfback is back, finding his form at the right time of the season. Was a match winner against the Lions at Suncorp Stadium, involved in everything.

Try of the round: Chris Feauai-Sautia. The perfect way to start a Super Rugby career, making the break and looping around Genia to score a try on debut, and with his first serious touch.

  • Nice to see new and old names in the team.despite below par conference performance we are unearthing new talent everywhere perhaps with the exception of front row. Tomane looks all class every time he touches the ball. Brumbies and reds back five with Dennis setileki Pyle jones pocock is awesome. Below genia all scrum halfs are performing well. QC bb kb joc for 10/12 ...13 is an issue

    • Beale over outstanding debutant Zac Holmes?

Difficult to see especially as the best strategic passes for the Rebels were thrown by Huxley (who doesnt get a mention) not Beale, who threw couple of shockers.

Slipper is the giggle factor. I knew a couple of runs early would be enough to impess you Greg. Never mind that he continues to be thrown about like a rag doll in the scrums and mauls.

Neville is a good pick though and the whisper must be of a wildcard Wallaby call up. Amazing couple of weeks

Agree Hooper shadows Gill at this point in time. My pick-the Brumbies to defeat the Reds next weekend. Brumby forwards will bully the Reds pack around and Jake Whites clinical finishing philosophy will defeat McKenzies razzle dazzle.

      • Beale was outstanding in the first half and went of the boil in the 2nd. I put this down to one of two thing: The wrist injury he suffered early in the 2nd or that he has still not reached optimum fitness since recovering from his hamstring injury. It was a hot day in perth.
Holmes was good but the hurricanes were allowed back into the game (from 10-0 down) due to aimless kicks from prior, holmes and Mogg.
I think the key player for the brumbs was nic white, I dont think it was a coincidence that the two periods of brumby dominance were when he replaced prior (early in the first half as blood bin replacement and half way through the 2nd half).
He is quite the general, he should definitely be in the wallaby 22 this year.

    • Warra was better than Gerard

Another 'should have been' for the Force - leaving 10 odd points on the field through missed kicks and losing by one hurts.

      • Missing 2 tackles that lead to tries won't get him TOTW.

      • What? You mean they watch the WHOLE game to decide who makes it?

I thought you just had to do something good (or win in a Waratahs jersey)

      • Nice at least to see a decent debut by Zac Holmes, another WA product. It's just a pity we don't seem to be able to recognise them until someone else gives them a start...

    • @rugbyheaven, I'd love to see a story on Caydern Neville. Twice now in TOTW after debuting against the Bulls, then being a huge part of the wins over Crusaders and Force (2 tries), and he only took up the sport a few years ago! Amazing really.
