Three former Wallabies named in World XV

Three former Wallabies have been named in a World XV squad to play South Africa in Cape Town.

Australian backs James O'Connor, Drew Mitchell and Matt Giteau have been named in the 23-man squad for the game on June 7 which is the first of the year for the Springboks.

The squad boasting 707 Test caps will be coached by former Springboks mentor Nick Mallett.

Experienced French loose forward Julien Bonnaire was forced to withdraw from the squad, which also contains six former All Blacks, because of injury. A replacement is being sought.

  • Gee with the likes of Carl Hayman & Schalk Brits, propping, along with Andrew Hore, hooking, it really looks like a, more than competitive front row.

    • Not to shabby a line up. The forwards look a little battle weary. But should be a reasonable test for the Boks
