Cheika also said he would not impose a curfew on the players for the fourth week of their European tour, backing a conduct system built on respect a year on from the infamous "Dublin Six" incident.

Beale met up with the Wallabies in Dublin on Monday morning Australian time after Cheika called him out of a six-week Test exile.

The coach said there was "no way" Beale would be rushed into the starting team, with a bench spot looming as a likely option this week.

But if fullback Israel Folau needs a break after a long year with the Wallabies and NSW Waratahs, Beale could be a contender for the No.15 jersey.

Asked how he would ensure Beale's injection wouldn't become a distraction, Cheika said: "Just be normal. Be honest, be open and just go about our business.

"It's understandable [that it will be asked about]. But there's nothing else we can do. I'm not looking for a distraction.

"I think we can focus enough on football, especially with such a big game coming up, just concentrate on that and get the two new guys coming over straight into the routine so they can be ready for selection.

"If he was to get a run it would only be off the bench at this stage. There's no way he'd be coming into the starting team, there are other guys who have been here and training."

The players have said they will embrace Beale's comeback and insist everyone has moved on from the past, believing his presence can give the squad renewed enthusiasm.

Beale was fined $45,000 by the ARU last month after a code of conduct hearing found him guilty of sending a lewd picture message to former team business manager Di Patston.

The off-field drama sent Australian rugby into chaos, with Patston quitting and that was followed by coach Ewen McKenzie's resignation.

However, the ARU did impose a suspension on Beale and Cheika did not want to play politics by not selecting him in his touring squad.

High-ranking ARU officials were initially against the move and Beale's return could create an interesting dynamic after chief executive Bill Pulver and chairman Michael Hawker recommended to the code of conduct hearing that Beale be sacked.

Beale's return coincides with the Wallabies' return to Dublin, where six players were suspended for a late-night drinking session last year and a further nine players reprimanded.

The incident is believed to be the start of a split between McKenzie and the players for the way it was handled.

Cheika is creating a Wallabies environment based on trust and transparency.

"I think they've got us in a hotel 14,000 miles away from the city so I don't think it's going to be a drama," Cheika laughed.

"They'll be fine, they've been excellent. That's one thing I can't complain about, the lads have been very good around the way they've managed themselves off the field.

"The treatment room has been full of guys getting ready, I've got no worries at all."

The Wallabies have two games remaining on their spring tour of Europe.

Cheika tasted his first defeat as Test coach when the Wallabies lost to France 29-26 in Paris on the weekend.

It is expected Cheika will tinker with his line-up this week as he continues his rapid transition into the job and attempts to get to know the players.

As there's just 10 months before the World Cup begins, Cheika said the Wallabies needed to start building consistency.

"You can play well but you have to do it every week. That comes from training well every day and keeping the standard high for yourself," he said.

"It's the individual getting the best prepared to play. That's something that isn't going to happen in a few weeks, we've got to keep working on it when they go back to Super Rugby.

"You have to do that so night's like [the game against France] are very rare, not once every three or four matches. That's the key thing if there's one thing that's missing from our game."
