With fans like Oprah, Lily Allen, Beyonce and a posse of reality stars, kaftan queen Camilla Franks' designs are highly coveted.
The taste for the brightly-coloured and intricately patterned kaftans also extends to thieves, with a ram raid at the Camilla boutique in Paddington last night.
This is the third time one of the Australian designer's Sydney boutiques has been robbed in as many weeks, with one of the break-ins followed by a police chase.
Police said officers were called to the shop on Oxford Street before midnight after reports of a robbery.
Witnesses told police a dark coloured sedan was used to smash the front window.
Staff have not been able to give a detailed list of the stolen items, but items from the window display were missing, police said.
Police will examine the shop front for evidence today.

In the early hours of last Monday morning two men wearing balaclavas, gloves and hoodies drove a high-performance car to the Camilla boutique on Warners Avenue, Bondi.
One man smashed the windows with a sledgehammer and took jeans and dresses from the shop, before speeding off in a dark-coloured Audi or Mercedes, police said.
Officers from Rose Bay later chased the car on New South Head Road, Edgecliff, before it drove towards the cross city tunnel.
The robbers were described as having solid builds, with one about 180cm tall and the other 165-170cm tall.
The store was also targeted in the early hours of September 10.
"They were very similar incidents, they smashed through the front," a NSW Police spokesman said.
The designer this morning said there would be no comment.
