Australian Schoolboys rugby coach Pat Langtry says only two ACT players being named for international honours despite winning the national championship is just "the nature of the game".

The ACT squad only had two players named for Australian Schoolboys in the wake of a 29-year drought breaking national championship victory on Saturday.
But "the window and the door" are both open for more players to force their way into a gold jersey.
Langtry says ACT schoolboys coaches Dan Hawke and Ben McGee "have enormous potential in the game" after they guided their side to a remarkable national championship victory.
The ACT "stuck together like duct tape" and stunned the competition with a 30-11 victory over Queensland II in the final securing the territory's first national title since 1988.
Hooker Lachlan Lonergan and halfback Seamus Smith were named for the Australian schoolboys while Will Goddard, Brendan Jimenez, Lachlan Osborne and Tom Iles were named in the Barbarians team.
Both teams will meet in late September, with the Barbarians to play against New Zealand Schoolboys, and the Australian side to meet their Fijian counterparts.
The sides will be re-selected after the double-header, before the Australian Schoolboys face their Kiwi rivals and the Barbarians lace up the boots against the Fijian Schoolboys six days later.
The bulk of the Australian squad comes from NSW, who had two teams play at the national championships with neither side finishing in the top three.
NSW had 11 players named in the Australian Schoolboys side out of a possible 20, with six coming from Queensland.
It leaves just two players from the championship-winning ACT squad and one from Western Australia to make up the numbers.
"It's a very difficult question to answer because sometimes when the team is organised to win a competition it can play to its strengths and try to work away from its weaknesses," Langtry said.
"They got two in the Australian side but they got four in the A side. Once those two teams have played their first international fixture, they'll all be re-selected.
"We've also left some spots open so neither team is finalised at this point. That won't happen until mid-August so there's still opportunities for many boys including some others from Canberra."
Langtry says the ACT's achievement was nothing short of "outstanding" after they knocked over highly-fancied rivals from traditional powerhouse states on the road to the title.
The national schoolboys mentor is based in Canberra and says Hawke and McGee got the result they deserved after guiding the ACT to the title.
"Ben and Daniel are both young coaches who have enormous potential in the game," Langtry said.
"The whole pillar behind what they were trying to achieve was just based around being humble and doing the hard things well.
"They kept it very simple, they completely understood that they are impressionable boys in their last years of school. They planned accordingly and they got the outcome that every person in that management and team deserves."
