Kent and catcher Robbie Perkins have been chosen for Team Australia for the annual mid-season clash against the World All-Stars on December 16.
The World All-Stars feature seven Cavalry players – pitchers Brian Grening, Michael Click and Rafael Fernandes, infielders Boss Moanaroa, Bryan Pounds and Jason Leblebijian and outfielder David Harris.
Kent has made a terrific start to the season since taking on a starting role, the left-hander leading the league with five wins while having a solid 2.43 ERA.
Harris – a prospect with the Tampa Bay Rays – is leading the league in hitting with a 0.372 average.
The league-leading Cavalry (19-9) will look to extend their advantage when they take on the Sydney Blue Sox in a four-game series in Sydney starting on Friday.
