The Monaro Panthers could be on the verge of a fairytale FFA Cup run after beating Gungahlin United in their first win of the year.
The Panthers are stuck at the bottom of the National Premier League ladder after losing eight consecutive games to start the season.
They have scored just three goals in those eight losses and conceded 32, but somehow they found a spark to thrash Gungahlin 4-1 to secure a Canberra semi-final spot.
"It's been a tough season for us so far, we're win-less in the league," said Panthers coach Lloyd Hewitt.
"The Cup is proving to be a bit of relief for us, it's serving as a distraction from the tough times we're having in the league.
Canberra Olympic will join the Panthers in the semi-finals after they beat Woden Weston 3-0.
