The two games against the Mustangs on Saturday and Sunday at the Icehouse has the potential for the Brave to move to first in the standings or drop out of the top four altogether.
The Brave sits third on 27 points on the tightly congested ladder, with the Mustangs (29 points) holding a slender lead on the Melbourne Ice (28 points).
The Sydney Ice Dogs (25 points) and Adelaide Adrenaline (24 points) are fourth and fifth.
The Brave will be eager to bounce back from last weekend's 4-1 home loss to the Ice Dogs at the Phillip Swimming and Ice Skating Centre.
Saturday's game is at 5pm and Sunday's at 4pm.
