Her mother is the long-time navigator for Australian rallying great Neal Bates. Now Molly Taylor has returned from Europe to make her assault on the Australian Rally Championship.

The 26-year-old will use all of the experience she has gained from racing in Europe when she contests the National Capital Rally from May 15 to 17.
The NCR is the second round of the ARC and has been moved back a couple of months from last year's late February, early March start date for safety reasons.
It will be a real family affair at the NCR, with Neal competing once again in the classics division while his son Harry will also get behind the wheel.
Molly Taylor has secured a drive with the team of defending ARC title holder Scott Pedder.
"It was an incredible opportunity I wasn't expecting, but certainly we still have a few opportunities that are happening overseas," Molly said.
"It's the first time since 2008 [that I have] competed back here in Canberra.
"Having that experience in Europe and the world rally championship, it's a very demanding, very long event.
"That will help me out when I come back here. It will be nice to come back, I've got some good memories so I'm looking forward to it."
Taylor has been racing since she was 17, having grown up watching her mum Coral form a successful combination with Bates.
"I grew up watching mum and Neal competing since I was born," Taylor said.
"Neal has been an incredible influence in my career and teaching me how to drive."
Taylor hasn't settled on a co-driver for this season, but had her mum in the passenger's seat for an event in Portugal last year.
"It was a completely unique experience," Taylor said. "I don't think there's many mother-daughters that can share something like that."
Bates believes Taylor has the talent from her five years in Europe to make an immediate impact in the ARC.
"People will be shocked at how fast Molly is, she will be right up the front," Bates said.
"She's doing the Australian Rally Championship to be at the front, not to make up the numbers or to be the token female.
"She's done incredibly well in Europe, so I think people will be shocked at how fast she is."
This will be the third year the Brindabella Motorsport Club has organised the NRC.
BMC president Adrian Coppin said there would be changes to bring the public closer to the event, including a pop-up village during the stage in Kowen Forest.
Coppin also said there were long-term plans to include a spectacular night stage, as is the case during Rally Australia in Coffs Harbour, in future years.
"We would be excited for that, but it's just the cost at the moment," Coppin said.
