Job stability is not a phrase you would normally associate with Canberra FC, but new coach Zoran Glavinic hopes he can buck the trend and lead the ACT's most successful club back to the top.

Glavinic has taken over the coaching duties at Canberra FC for next season's Capital Football National Premier League season after former Socceroo Andy Bernal decided not to reapply.
Bernal was the club's technical director, but took over when original coach Ray Junna was sacked halfway through the season.
Glavinic stepped into an assistant coaching role alongside Bernal and also coached the club's under-20s team this year.
After previously coaching the club's first-grade team in the 1990s, Glavinic wants to be given the time to develop the side he believes can challenge for the league championship.
"I'm here for a long venture and that's what was explained to the football committee," Glavinic said.
"I'm not here for three months or six months, I'm here for a long term.
"That's my intention, that's the club's intention, so hopefully we can look forward to 2015 and have a fantastic year, and then move on from there."
After finishing the regular season with four straight losses to limp into the finals in fourth spot, Canberra FC won two sudden-death games to be on the verge of winning the grand final.
However, Belconnen United equalised in the final minute of injury time and claimed the penalty shootout to take out the title.
Glavinic wants to retain the bulk of this year's squad, but is also looking to bring new players to compete for both the Federation Cup and the league championship.
The Federation Cup holds plenty of significance, with the winners following in the footsteps of Tuggeranong United on to the national stage in the FFA Cup.
"That's one of the reasons why we want to build the squad to about 18 players," Glavinic said.
"Hopefully we can take the Federation Cup and go and represent Canberra at the FFA Cup, and look at the whole year and become premiers and play in the nation-wide NPL finals."
