Canberra United to play Singapore in midweek clash

Canberra United will have a midweek hit-out against the Singapore national team before this Sunday's W-League home clash with Western Sydney.

The defending W-League champions will play Singapore at the AIS grass fields from 6pm on Wednesday night, before they look to continue their current seven game unbeaten run against the Wanderers.

It is the second time Canberra United has faced international opposition, having lost 3-1 to South Korea B in a mid-season friendly in 2010.

ACT Women's Premier League side Canberra United will also play Singapore in two fixtures, on Tuesday and Friday at Hawker Football Centre from 6pm.

United locked up a home semi with victory at Perth last week, and their clash with the Wanderers kicks off at 4pm Sunday.
