The Cricket ACT board will have the final say on the appointment of the organisation's new chief executive, with a decision expected to be made by the end of February.

Cricket ACT chairman Ian McNamee will attend meetings with representatives from Cricket Australia in Melbourne this week.
Cricket Australia has handled the initial recruitment process of finding a replacement for outgoing Cricket ACT chief executive Mark Vergano, who will quit his post in June after 13 years in charge.
Cricket Australia will present a shortlist of candidates to the Cricket ACT board, which will then conduct the final interviews and select its new chief executive.
About 40 applications were received from candidates nationwide when the position closed on Friday.
McNamee said it made sense to use the resources of Cricket Australia so that Cricket ACT could find the best candidate possible for the position.
"We are part of the One Team policy of Cricket Australia and we therefore use their recruitment process and expertise in that recruitment process," McNamee said.
"In the first instance, they have handled the enquiries and the applications.
"They will then be going through the enquiries and will be then speaking to Cricket ACT.
"The final decision will be taken by the Cricket ACT board."
Cricket ACT has established closer ties with Cricket Australia and Cricket NSW after signing a memorandum of understanding at the Sydney Test at the SCG in January.
The memorandum of understanding will deal with development pathways from club cricket through to changes already made at high performance level.
Cricket ACT and Country Cricket NSW have fielded joint teams at junior national championships from under-12s to under-19s.
There are no quotas on the number of players to be selected from either the ACT or country NSW, with the teams selected on merit.
It allows players from country NSW who have been overlooked for NSW teams to compete at the higher level.
An example is Newcastle left-arm orthodox spinner Riley Ayre, who played for the ACT/NSW Country side at the recent under-19 national championships.
Ayre was the leading wicket-taker in the competition with 20 wickets and was named in the team of the championships, along with Queanbeyan batsman Henry Hunt.
ACT/NSW Country finished third overall at the championships, behind NSW Metropolitan and WA.
The changes have also flowed through to the ACT Comets, with only a handful of players from the Canberra first-grade competition picked in the team.
It is also made up of players with NSW country backgrounds who play in the Sydney grade competition.
Vergano took over Cricket ACT operations after the Comets were kicked out of the domestic one-day competition.
A National High Performance squad team is being considered for admission to the domestic one-day competition.
Another option would be to introduce a joint ACT-Country NSW team.
