But he still knows someone it means even more to - and it's not even one of his teammates.

The 30-year-old pace bowler is a manager of a youth engagement team with Woden Community Service, working with people aged from 12 to 25 in various areas.

Some are socially isolated, some have been fending for themselves. Every week, they are welcomed into the Eastlake cricket family.

Page hopes they will be there when Eastlake face Weston Creek Molonglo in the Cricket ACT Douglas Cup grand final at Chisholm Oval beginning on Friday.

"I've got a few young fellas that are right into their cricket so they come down," Page said.

"It's good for them socially. We've got one young fella who is pretty socially isolated so it's good for him to come out and be around a group of blokes having a good time and just to see me outside of work.

"One young fella in particular, he comes out and does some scoring for us and runs some drinks and things like that.

"He's been independently living for the last couple of years, just looking after himself, so it's really good for him to be able to come out and run around with us and feel a part of the team.

"He's got himself a hat and he's proud as punch to be involved with Eastlake, he's very excited by it all.

"It's a good opportunity for him to see a team sport, how that works out, and how playing in a team sport from a social aspect can help us and how much fun it is for us. He can see that he can be involved in that sort of aspect as well."

Eastlake captain Paul O'Malveney laughs Page has "bowled a lot of overs for a big fella" and he is "starting to knock up a bit" - but he knows he has one more weekend left in him.

Page will need every bit of strength he can muster against the competition's premier batting line-up - in his first finals campaign in "six or seven seasons", these are the battles he thrives on.

Blake Dean scored a record-breaking 291 (381) while Jono Dean blasted 205 (389) last week against Queanbeyan, before the captains shook hands after just one innings to send Creek to the decider.

But that miraculous effort won't have Creek skipper John Rogers resting on his laurels as his side enters a 12th straight grand final across all formats.

"We all know it's probably a once in a lifetime effort last weekend, unbelievable scenes," Rogers said.

"This year has been quite different to the last couple where we have had to actually scrap and fight to win games and get into grand finals. That probably points to the development of the rest of the team.

"It's great having the resources of Jono and Blake, but the fact of the matter is Blake hasn't had a great year and Jono has only been back for the last couple.

"Everyone is very excited. We've had a lot of practice at grand finals and preparing for them, but every single one seems like Christmas day."
