Having been undefeated through the pool rounds and the semi-final, ACT/NSW Country could manage a total of only 160 batting first at Gliderol Stadium on Thursday.
The run chase proved to be no challenge for NSW Metro as they cruised to victory in the 37th over.
ACT/NSW Country's second place at the tournament equalled the performance of the team captained by Australian Test spinner Nathan Lyon in 2008.
Queanbeyan opener Henry Hunt continued his impressive tournament, top-scoring for ACT/NSW Country with 42 from 53 balls.
But ACT/NSW Country couldn't put any decent partnerships together, with Wests/UC's Matt Gilkes (32) and Weston Creek Molonglo's Mac Wright (28) failing to capitalise on their starts.
Weston Creek's Joe Slater (0-18) and North Canberra Gungahlin spinner Ben Taylor (0-18) both bowled tightly from their five overs, but couldn't prevent NSW Metro from reaching the victory target.
