Japanese trio Nao Hibino, Miyu Kato and Risa Ozaki will headline the USD$60,000 ACT Claycourt International #1, which begins at the Canberra Tennis Centre on Saturday.
Hibino has been ranked world No.56 and boasts two wins over Sam Stosur. She has spent the majority of the past three years inside the world's top 100 and has won eight ITF titles.
Kato and Ozaki have experienced success in Canberra with Kato winning same tournament two years ago, while Ozaki won the 2016 Canberra International.
Ozaki enjoyed a breakout year in 2017 and reached a career-high world No.70, while Kato hit a career-best ranking of world No.122 in January.
Australia's hopes will be led by Fed Cup representatives Lizette Cabrera and Destanee Aiava, while Alison Bai will lead the local charge.
Fellow Canberra players Tallulah Farrow, Annerly Poulos, Ashleigh Simes, Matina Ujdur and Nornaaah Sharmaa are on the alternate list.
