More than 25 teams will converge on the Deakin Netball Centre for the second ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander netball tournament on Saturday.

Teams have come from as far as regional Victoria to join NSW and ACT teams playing in women's, mixed, and junior divisions.
ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander netball committee spokesperson Deanne Booth believes the tournament is laying the platform for the next generation of international representatives.
"Encouraging participation in netball for our women and girls will one day lead to one of our girls representing their families and communities as an Australian Diamond," Booth said.
"More broadly, this tournament strongly supports maintaining an active healthy lifestyle for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders though playing netball."
The tournament is run by the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander netball committee and the Tuggeranong Netball Association and attracted more than 1300 spectators last year.
The Tuggeranong Netball Association will be recognised for its efforts to promote Indigenous athletes and families in the region by Netball Australia.
Tuggeranong netball president Jonathan Toze said seeing the difference the tournament makes to those involved is "uplifting".
"This tournament is a wonderful tribute to the vision and energy of a hard-working group of people from our Indigenous families involved in netball across our region," Toze said.
